국세청이 최근 발간한 '국세통계연보 2011년 판'을 보면, 전국의 유흥업소에서 일하는 호스티스 종사자수는 13만 9904명으로 나타났다.





우리 나라 20~40대 여성 경제활동인구 60명 가운데 1명꼴로 유흥업소에 종사하는 것으로 집계됐다.유흥접객원의 규모가 공개된 것은 이번이 처음이다.



다단계 판매업 종사자가 90만명을 웃돌고, 호스티스(유흥접객원)를 직업으로 가진 사람이 14만명에 육박하며, 각종 이벤트의 `감초'가 된 행사도우미도 9만명을 훌쩍 넘어선 것으로 4일 파악됐다.학원강사도 30만명을 넘었다. 4일 국세청의 국세통계연보에 따르면 지난 2009년 기준으로 프리랜서인 자유직업을 가진 사업소득자는 340만3714명으로 2008년에 비해 14만836명(4.3%) 늘었다.



국내 유흥업소 고용시장 규모가 신고된 것만 따져도 연간 2조원에 육박하는 것으로 나타났다. 또 국내 대리운전 기사와 퀵서비스 종사자 수가 각각 2만명을 넘어선 것으로 집계됐다.

통계청 조사에서 2009년 현재 20세 이상 50세 미만의 여성 경제활동인구가 799만 명이라는 점을 감안하면 여성 경제활동인구 60명 중 1명을 호스티스로 볼 수 있는 셈이다.



이와 관련, 국세청 관계자는 "유흥업소 업주들이 사업소득 신고시 주방에서 일하는 아줌마 등도 호스티스로 신고하는 경우가 많아 호스티스 종사자수가 실제보다 부풀려졌을 수 있다"고 설명했다.



보험설계사는 7만3452명에 불과했지만 1인당 평균소득은 3881만 원으로 자유직업인 중 병의원 의사 2억275만원을 제외하고 가장 많았다.





우리나라 행사도우미 규모는 9만4,010명으로 연평균 소득은 324만 원으로 나타났으며, 연예보조 종사자는 7만6,519명으로 484만 원의 소득을, 대리운전자는 2만1,305명으로 연평균 283만 원의 소득을 올린 것으로 집계됐다.
